Who can apply to the Academy?

The Academy is designed for young people aged 18–35, especially aspiring filmmakers, designers, photographers, editors, and digital storytellers. We strongly encourage applications from women and youth from underserved communities who are passionate about creativity, culture, and impact.

What programmes or tracks do you offer?

Dinovate Creative Academy offers two main learning tracks:

  • Creative Production (filmmaking, photography, animation, editing, graphic design, AI content creation)

  • Storytelling for Social Change (documentary storytelling, advocacy narratives, SBCC, community-led media)

Each track combines technical excellence with purpose-driven storytelling.

How long is the training programme?

Our programmes typically run for 8–12 weeks, delivered through bootcamps, fellowships, and masterclasses. The experience is practical, immersive, and project-based — participants learn by creating real work, not just attending lectures.

The Dinovate Creative Academy offers practical, industry-relevant creative training for aspiring storytellers, designers, and media professionals. All programmes are designed to combine hands-on learning, real-world application, and creative collaboration.

The Academy runs as a hybrid programme, with physical classes at Dinovate Studios in Abuja and virtual sessions where applicable.

Courses & Fees Overview

Learning Tracks

Participants may apply for a maximum of two learning tracks. This means submitting two separate applications if applying for two different tracks.

All participants also receive AI Content Creation as a FREE bonus course, regardless of track selection.

Cinematography & Filmmaking

Learn the foundations of visual storytelling, camera operation, lighting, and short-form filmmaking. Ideal for aspiring filmmakers and visual storytellers interested in film, documentary, and digital media.

Video Editing

Focuses on post-production storytelling, including editing structure, colour correction, audio syncing, and editing for social media, campaigns, and short films.

Photography

Covers documentary and visual storytelling photography, with emphasis on composition, ethics, portraiture, and building story-driven photo series.

Graphic Design

Introduces visual communication, branding, layout, and campaign design. Participants learn to translate ideas into clear, impactful visual assets for digital and print platforms.

Motion Graphics & Animation

Explores storytelling through motion, teaching participants how to create animated content, explainers, and engaging visuals for campaigns and digital platforms.

Screenwriting (Virtual)

A fully online track focused on story structure, character development, and writing for film, documentary, and digital media.

Bonus Course for All Participants

AI Content Creation (FREE)

All participants receive training in practical AI tools for content ideation, scripting, design support, and creative productivity.

Scholarships & Payment Options
